Sensei Tanis Moore
Before Tanis Moore became a lay minister at the Manitoba Buddhist Temple, she would drive from her home in Manitoba's Interlake area to attend Sunday service in Winnipeg.
When Tanis eventually moved to Winnipeg, she attended regular services at the temple led by Sensei Fredrich Ulrich who was the minister at the time. She also deepened her relationship with the sangha by volunteering at temple events and a became a member on the Board of Directors. But, an interest in Shin Buddhism led her delving further into formal Buddhist studies.
